Hydrogen energy is considered a “key” for addressing climate change, along with renewable energy.Efforts by both the public and private sectors are underway to achieve “large-scale supply” of hydrogen, including domestic production and overseas sourcing. In addition, the expansion of “use” of hydrogen must also progress simultaneously for a hydrogen society to be realized. Fuel cell vehicles, buses, forklifts, and residential fuel cells have already been put into practical use, and it is expected that hydrogen will be used for large-scale mobility as well as for power generation, heat utilization and others as part of companies’ decarbonization goals. We will now introduce practical examples of companies that are pioneering the introduction and/or use of hydrogen.
