Sustainability for the Event

Since 2020, the Sustainable Brands Japan has been implementing sustainability initiatives at its events.
These efforts have progressively expanded, including the calculation of CO2 emissions covering the SCOPE 3 related to event operations.
Since 2023, the event has achieved carbon neutrality through the use of carbon offsets.
SB’25 TOKYO-Marunouchi will also aim to deliver an even more sustainable event.

Organizing a Carbon-neutral event

- Calculate and Measure Scope 3 Emissions
- Calculate GHG emissions & carbon offsets for the entire event
- Promotion of Warm Biz (reduce the reliance on heaters)
- Provides public transport and walking information to participants
- Utilization of LED lighting fixtures

Waste

- Reduce emissions by visualizing waste types, quantities, and disposal methods
- Improved material recycling rate by reviewing decorative materials and construction methods
- Installation of water servers (reduction of plastic and paper waste)
- Strives to minimize food waste
- Reduces use of plastic products
