Beyond the Milestone: 100 Million Lives and the Road to 2030

Today, 3.5 billion people lack safe sanitation, a crisis endangering millions of children. LIXIL’s social business, SATO, tackles this global challenge through a sustainable business model that fosters local employment and robust markets rather than relying on traditional CSR or one-off donations. This session traces SATO’s 13-year journey—from its origins in rural Bangladesh to its expansion across 50+ countries—reaching the historic milestone of 100 million lives improved. We share transformative stories of how the innovative SATO Pan restores health and dignity, demonstrating how corporate Purpose can serve as a powerful engine for social transformation. Finally, we share our vision for a future where business growth and social responsibility are two sides of the same coin. Learn how we work to fulfill LIXIL’s Purpose—to make better homes a reality for everyone, everywhere—shaping a world where a healthy and fulfilling life is within reach for all.

Plurality and the Implementation of Well‑Being: Foundations for Re‑Designing a Fragmented Society

In recent years, numerous social challenges have become increasingly visible, and divisions can be observed across the world—divisions that appear to be deepening and accelerating. Alleviating, dispelling, or ultimately overcoming these divides may well serve as a crucial key to addressing the full spectrum of social issues we face. In this session, we will explore the emerging concept of plurality and, through a panel of speakers offering diverse perspectives, engage in a discussion that examines well‑being in an era of societal fragmentation and questions how we ought to position ourselves within it.
