Shigeki Aoki is an expert on structuring and managing channels of distribution, and rivitarizing local areas throughout Japan. He is on a member of the board of trustees of the association of Design about Strategy for Zone Industry and Zone Brand.He has won several awards for his teaching, including Shakaijin Kisoryoku(Business Basic Skills) Award by MEIT(Ministry of Economy、Trade and Industry) in 2008. Professor Aoki has consulted and taught for a number of major corporations. Before joining KOMAZAWA in 2008, Professor Aoki served on the faculty of the University of Yamanashi Gakuin University.He is also a chairman of NPO Yamanashi Cycling Project. He got Master Degree of Commerce at Keio University in 1994. He finished the Ph.D Course of Commerce at Keio in 1997.

After completing her master’s degree in Environmental Studies, she worked at an environmental startups, providing consulting services for major companies and conducting research for government agencies and local municipalities. She joined Bridgestone Corporation in 2007, where she led initiatives in environmental management, CSR, and sustainability communications. In 2020, she moved to Australia to pursue doctoral research at Monash University and earned her PhD in Social Sciences in 2023, focusing on the relationship between corporate purpose and sustainability. She joined Danone Japan in 2024 and is responsible for public affairs and sustainability. She also serves as a part-time lecturer in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at the Institute of Regional Development, Hosei University.

Masaaki Mezaki graduated from Keio University’s Faculty of Business and Commerce and holds an MSc in Social Anthropology from the London School of Economics (LSE). He began his career as a derivatives trader at Merrill Lynch, specializing in interest rate swaps, working in Tokyo, New York, and London. After leaving Merrill Lynch, he spent nearly a decade traveling to over 100 countries, exploring diverse cultures worldwide. In 2012, he founded Japan Mega Solar Inc. to achieve grid parity through solar power in Japan, later renaming the company GPSS Holdings Inc. in 2017 to expand sustainable energy initiatives nationwide. He actively promotes renewable energy through various media outlets. His publications include “Kōfuku Tojōkoku Nippon” (“Japan: A Developing Country in Happiness”). He also appears on FM Yokohama’s “Baile Yokohama” every Sunday at 21:30.
Motherhouse Co., Ltd.
Born in Tokyo in 1980.
After graduating from Keio university, he spent four years as an economist at Goldman Sachs.
In 2006, he co-founded Motherhouse Co., Ltd. with the representative and chief designer, Eriko Yamaguchi, based on the philosophy of “Showcasing the potential of developing countries.” He joined the management team as a board director and vice president. In 2019, he was appointed Representative Vice President.
He travels extensively, primarily to developing countries, and is involved in both marketing and production.
He presides over the management seminar “Warm Heart, Cool Head,” focusing on realizing one’s visions and ideas.
He also serves as an outside director for Que, Inc., and an external board member for the Japan Blind Football Association.
